Arkan Khidara is the most prominent member of Jiara’s ruling family to defy his niece, the rightful heir to the Jiaran princedom. He fled to a neighboring city and warned representatives about the rebellion.

Arkan reentered Jiara expecting to be named prince for his loyalty to the Realm. When Mnemon named his nephew instead, he began positioning himself to become an adviser to the young prince.

Arkan has the wiry frame and slack skin of a man who was much fitter in his youth. Despite his apparent appetite, he only shows a little paunch, and the traditional Jiaran robe.
